Law Enforcement Grants

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, The Pembroke Pines Police Department is requesting public comment and input on the 2018 Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Local Solicitation Grant program from residents of Pembroke Pines. The Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant program is a formula grant to municipalities based on crime statistics. The grant funds are allocated by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and can be used for a variety of law enforcement programs and activities.


Proposed Distribution, The Pembroke Pines Police Department is eligible to receive $21,796.20 in grant funding through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program (Application #BJA-2018-13626) from the U.S. Department of Justice. The Pembroke Pines Police Department will utilize the funds to purchase License Plate Reader (LPR) equipment in continued enhancement to the agency’s LPR Program.
