Fire Prevention Week

Poster Contest

Fire Prevention Week October 7-13, 2018

The Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue Department continues to work in coordination with the National Fire Protection Association, the official sponsor of the Fire Prevention Week for more than 90 years.

To support Fire Prevention Week and reinforce those potentially life-saving messages, Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue hosted its annual Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest highlighting this year's theme "Look. Listen. Learn: Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere."

Students in participating elementary schools through out the City of Pembroke Pines had a chance to participate in this years competition. Winners of the contest were recognized and awarded at the Commission Meeting and their posters were displayed from October 8-11, 2018 at City Hall during Fire Prevention Week. This was a great opportunity for children to show case their creative talents and get them thinking about fire safety at the same time.
